    Video and some shares...

    Hey, there.

It is almost the weekend.  So happy!

I am a bit late sharing the Thinking Inking video from yesterday on 2Peas.  I had SUCH fun playing with these.  I think the girls created about 30 charms, too.  Addictive.  HERE it is...

Here are just a few of the many projects.  First one is on a piece of transparency.  Love to pop it up so it looks like it is floating.

This is adding color to a piece of glass, and backing with vintage text.  Kinda funky.

This is using rub-ons.  Just put a white rub-on on a clear Fragment.  Alcohol ink over it.  Then flip over to see the rub-on.

Speaking of Fragments, they are a must-have.  They are clear charms that are perfect for inking or stamping on or backing with paper or anything you can think of.  There are TONS in a box.  The girls love to make keychains and necklaces from them.  You can get them HERE.

And how about a share?  This was a gift package I put together for Hero Arts - they sent it to one of our dear industry friends.  Such a fun gift, huh?  She had a baby, so it is filled with stamps that would be fun for baby girl pages...

AliSupplies: All Hero Arts stamps and such and Hobby Lobby basket.

OK, hubby is home from hot Phoenix.  Off to hang with the family.

    Have a good one!

    Just a quick note...

Be sure to check out Hero Arts today.  Big new website and huge giveaways.

More tomorrow.  I am one tired pup.

Thinking Inking Alcohol Inks - TWO Videos

    I warn you.

    Alcohol is very addictive.

    Alcohol inks, that is.  :)

Such fun stuff.  The girls were playing with it yesterday, too,  and were hooting about how cool the results were - loved it.  I think they made about 20 necklaces and backgrounds.

Here is Part 1 for the 2Peas class.  There are 2 videos for this day. (Consider me part overachiever and part addicted. :)

I am getting a lot of questions about the two stamps used in that last photo.   The floral grid stamp is HERE.  Such a cool stamp.  Here are some good examples using it: HERE, HERE and HERE.

The tree one is HERE.  I can imagine adding pearls to this.

And, if you feel like supporting the economy and the scrapbooking/stamping industry, I would suggest shopping at 2peas.  They are making this class possible... and free.  So be sure to thank them with your business. :)

Oh, yes.  It is Bachelorette night.  Could it be any better?  Ha.  There is something I like about Reed.  Not sure why.  Ed flew his parents in?  (Watching the beginning previews.)  Hmmm... maybe I like him.  I just love fake reality TV. :)

    Night!

    Big week... lots of giveaways...

Hero Arts is having a huge week this week to celebrate their new website launching on Wednesday.  There are tons of giveaways and such... click HERE.

    American Crafts

Saturday.  I love Saturdays, don't you?  Watching Another Cinderella Story with the girls.  Quality acting. ;)

I am such a ditz and realized I never linked to a guest spot I did over at American Crafts a few weeks ago.  I was honored when they asked me to play on their blog.  American Crafts is a great company - one of my top faves.  They are generous, creative and have great people.  And I really like to use products from companies like that.  Good, good people and good, good product.  What more do you need?  (No, they aren't paying me - I just like them. :)

Anyway... here are my cards.  For the supplies and such, click HERE.

By the way, American Crafts' blog is worth following (HERE) and same with Twitter (HERE).

Speaking of Twitter, some of my favorite people to follow:

    • Hero Arts - LOTS of links to great stuff.  Prizes, too.
    • American Crafts
    • Anything local.  I like to follow the Cincinnati Library and Zoo.  Such a great way to keep up to date on stuff.
    • Eclectic Paperie - I met Daisy and Joy at Ranger U - they are sweet.  Keeps us up to date on stamping stuff.
    • A Place to Bark - Animal rescue... this girl is amazing.  Amazing.
    • Macworld - For you fellow Mac geeks.
    • MellyPea - She links great shopping stuff at 2peas!
    • CathyZielske - Simply because her tweets make me laugh.  Always brightens a day.
    • Me - ha.

I think I am going to call it a night.  I have a bunch of Thinking Inking work for tomorrow.  And, I am going to get back into working out tomorrow morning.  (By telling you that, I will be held accountable, right?  Ha.)

    Hugs all around.  Night.

Another Thinking Inking Video is up...

    Hey!

Just letting you know that another Distress Crackle Paint video is up over on 2peas HERE.  This was one of my favorite videos to do.

Gotta go do editing of another class video.  If you have anything you want me to show/include in a video, let me know.  Happy to try.

    Take care.

    A page and links...

Happy Sunday.  I love Sundays.  The only thing I don't like about Sundays is that they are followed by Mondays.  And that means Ken goes back to work.  No likey that. :)

I wanted to share some links with ya tonight...

    • Stunning page by Brooke Starnes HERE.  Those colors just make my heart warm.
    • THIS page by Laura Kurz is the perfect reminder that a great photo should be the true focus.  And the perfect reminder that I want another baby.  (Which I quickly correct myself that that need not happen anytime soon.  Ha.)
    • THIS page by Jamie makes my heart melt.  It is so true.  I often look at Kay and think the same.
    • And that stinker Robyn is making my heart scream BABY.  So sweet... HERE.
    • Jen amazes me with THIS.  She always does.
    • Audrey and I want to make THESE.

And here is an old page I did in CK.  I just love that photo in the center so I thought I would share it here. :)

OK... off to work on that pile of email.  Hugs.

    I'm back... with three videos!

    Hello!

Was sick there for a bit, but better today.  So I have several things to link ya up to in case you missed them.

Twitter.  I have to tell you all that you need to sign up for Twitter.  For me, it is so much better than Facebook.  (I never go on FB anymore - but my tweets just go up there automatically.)  I like Twitter because people seem to share more links there than on Facebook.  People link to great ideas, inspiration, etc.  Also, it is so less overwhelming.  If you haven't started tweeting, I would recommend it.  Even if you don't want to tweet, you can follow people and learn lots.  You can find me HERE.  And Hero Arts just started Twitter, too!  They are giving away lots of prizes there, so click HERE to find them.

Since we last talked, two different Thinking Inking classes have gone up.  Both are on Ranger Paint Dabbers.  However, if you have other acrylic paints, they work, too.  (But the dabbers are the best.  Trust me.)  Click HERE for the class threads.  And, did you know that you can play along and win great prizes?  Check it out.

Next up... have you seen the blog week over on Hero?  It is a tough challenge - using photos on cards and other projects.  But I think it is a fun one.  Here is a video showing how to make a fold-out card.  For more information, click HERE.

I was just going through some computer files and found this card.  It was one I did for the Hero Arts catalog that got changed a bit.  The original is below, and the "naked" version is HERE. :)  This is one big stamp.  I just stamped it in green and then added color and shading with colored pencils.  You Copic people could have a fun time with this image...

070309 Flowers Supplies: Supplies can be found HERE

Well, I am off to catch up on email.  If you have emailed me in the past couple weeks and haven't heard back, please send it again.  With my computer dying and me getting sick, I fear I am missing lots.

Hugs all around.  Have a great holiday weekend...

Gotta balance out some Distress with some cutesy... (and a giveaway!)

    Hey there.

Since I have been sharing so much distress-y stuff lately, I thought I would balance it with a bit of non-distressy. :)

First up, I am leading the Hero Blog this week.  The challenge is to use photos on a card or project.  I love this theme.  I hope people can play along.  A lot of people leaving comments there today said they have never done one!  Here is a peek at what I created.  Click HERE for more info...

Here is a card I did long ago for the Hero Arts catalog.  (Since it is an oldy, I hope I haven't share it already.)

Well, I am watching the fabulously guilty-pleasure that is called "The Bachelorette" now.  Wes gives me the creeps.  (And usually guys with a guitar melt me.)  Oh, and Jake?  I want to hook him up with my friend Courtney.  Hmmm... I am thinking there are going to be some great one-liners in tonight's show.  (Yes, I know the show is a joke.  That is why I like it. :)

    NIght.
