Thinking Inking Alcohol Inks - TWO Videos

I warn you.

Alcohol is very addictive.

Alcohol inks, that is.  :)

Such fun stuff.  The girls were playing with it yesterday, too,  and were hooting about how cool the results were - loved it.  I think they made about 20 necklaces and backgrounds.

Here is Part 1 for the 2Peas class.  There are 2 videos for this day. (Consider me part overachiever and part addicted. :)

I am getting a lot of questions about the two stamps used in that last photo.   The floral grid stamp is HERE.  Such a cool stamp.  Here are some good examples using it: HERE, HERE and HERE.

The tree one is HERE.  I can imagine adding pearls to this.

And, if you feel like supporting the economy and the scrapbooking/stamping industry, I would suggest shopping at 2peas.  They are making this class possible... and free.  So be sure to thank them with your business. :)

Oh, yes.  It is Bachelorette night.  Could it be any better?  Ha.  There is something I like about Reed.  Not sure why.  Ed flew his parents in?  (Watching the beginning previews.)  Hmmm... maybe I like him.  I just love fake reality TV. :)

Night!

I love your classes..I have learned so much and am loving all of the alcohol inks. I have had almost all of them for over 6 months now and other than a few times, was afraid to use them. Now I know how-thanks again!

Jennifer

I do not own one alcohol ink. I guess you know what I will be shopping for Wed. at SYAO.

My two videos. Looks like lots of fun good thing I have a new pack of glossy paper.

I am following Bachelorette too. DD is voting for Kipton and I am voting for Ed. I sure hope he was tired. I would hate to think he was having equipment problems.

Thanks so much
Sandi N.

YOU ROCK Jennifer!!!! I just have to say I LOVE your videos! This Thinking Inking Class is the BOMB!!! You are truly an inspiration!! Keep it up!!

I've heard about alcohol inks for a while, but this is the first time I've seen them in action. I think my favorite technique is dropping directly on the paper. Such a pretty look

These are gorgeous Jennifer. You always make things look so easy. :) Did you say you can save the felt after you've used it? Do you know how long? Just curious. :-)

Thanks for two more great videos.
I think I'll buy glossy paper and start to use the inks I bought a while ago.
Thanks for sharing, love your videos!

I bought inks sometime ago and have used them sparingly. Now I am gonna swipe and stripe until i use all the glossy paper. !!! your videos are just fantastic. I am definitely gonna shop at two peas in gratitude for these classes.

Wow I love this technique!!!! I am running out and getting some of the inks as soon as possible. I can see what you mean the possiblities are endless with this product!!! Great video

That looks all great, gonna try is also. Thanks for the video

I love the polished stone looks you achieved. This is my favorite class so far. Thanks for the idea of using the backgrounds with die cuts. I'm having so much fun. Your cards are all so creative and so well thought out. TFS!!! :o]

Thanks for these. I bought some alcohol inks and blending solution and haven't broken them open hoping you would include videos on this. Can't wait to get started!

Jennifer, these techniques are just amazing. Now I have to get those alcohol inks too! (I love your classes, my credit card not as much, lol!)
There's a cute little award for you in my blog :D
Hugs from Uruguay!

Woooonderful stuff - but you are SOOO dangerous to my echonomy! My shoppinglist is growing with every video you make! ;)

:D

I'm on inforation overload! Such great videos and so many wonderful techniques! Thank you for this wonderful series!

Once again you are dangerous on my pocket book LOL! Now I will have to go out and get me some alcohol inks.

Oh and I was so sad last night when she let Reed go I really liked him. I have always liked Kiptyn and Ed and I was so glad when she got rid of Wes yuck LOL.

These are so amazing, Jennifer! I've been so intimidated by alcohol inks for so long now, but as already stated, you definitely make it look easy. :) That very last card you did with the drops of ink and punched out butterflies - WOW. Thank you for always doing these amazing videos... I'm sure they're a lot of work, but they are oh-so enjoyed and appreciated. :) XO

Thanks for the class and the samples - absolutely lovely all. Question: are these inks only for paper/ backgrounds? what about stamping with and using other media? Or am I jumping the gun and its material for another class perhaps? Thanks again - really enjoying this series.

can't really stamp with them... but there is a lot you can do with them - there will be a video tomorrow and friday showing that. :)

WOW - I have seen these inks in stores, but didn't know how to use them. I can't wait to go get some, and ink away. You are such in wealth of creativity. I thank you so much, my wallet on the other hand is screaming not to watch any more videos. (shhhh I'm not listening to the wallet hehe)
question - does SYAO sell the glossy paper?

Wonderful videos, have thoroughly enjoyed all the videos you had done with all the ranger and hero products, looking forward to what ever is next.

Hi Jennifer,
LOVE the videos...all of them! I've purchased several products that I never thought I would because I love the looks that can be created. I also love making cards and the alcohol inks really make a card stand out!

Regarding The Bachelorette, I can't believe she let Reid go!! He was the only one that made her laugh and that she seemed completely comfortable with. You've got to have a sense of humor in life and he was the one that had that with her. Too bad...I think she made a terrible mistake. And I think she sensed that after he left; I'm not convinced she's completely happy with her decision. Time will tell. Sorry...just my two cents! lol

Thank you for sharing this technique ... I bought alcohol inks earlier this year but haven't used them lots .... but I have to tell you I will be now. The backgrounds you demonstrated are awesome. Would you please let me know what brand of butterfly punch do you use? And is it available in Australia?
Look forward to the next videos.
hugs,

I just love your videos and am really enjoying the Thinking Inking classes! You really inspire me and make me want all of the products you are using!

I've always wanted to know how to use alcohol inks and now I think I've just got to get some!

Thank you for such wonderful videos & blog! Love them!!

Hi Jennifer

Thanks so much for doing these videos. I've had all these products and never knew what to do with them. I'm having so much fun using what I've learned from watching your videos.

Again, thank you.
Janice

Fantastic videos. So much to do now! Thank you so much for all the info.

I've had some of these inks since meeting Tim H at scrapfst two years ago! No i know what to do with them, LOL. Thanks for the great ideas.

I can't tell you just how much I am learning and enjoying these videos!!!!!
Being a fan of the distresses look, this is right up my ally!!!!
Thank you and the wonderful companies, Hero Arts and Ranger, and also the genius of Tim Holtz. I have already bought the distress ink supplies and have made great cards! Now for the alcohol!!! :)

You are just amazing. Look forward to your email and learning different techniques with you. As for the Bachlorette...GO ED!

Hi Jennifer,

Oh my, quess what I did do this morning after seeing your video's?? Yeap I went to the scrap store and bougth some of those inks. Loved it. Can't wait for more. Thanks for showing us, it makes it so much easier to use.

I am so enjoying this series :) Tonight my DD of 3 and I played with alcohol inks and tried out the techniques you demonstrated. We had a blast and she was so proud of her artwork :) Thank-you

Loving your alcohol ink videos. I had tried them at many store demos, but it wasn't until you class that I was inspired to actually buy them (a bunch of them).

I was sad to see Reid go too. I think he's definitely the one that comes back to profess his love for her next week, but I read who she chooses (and I'm happy with her choice). I also saw who is signed on for the next season of "Bachelor". It's not Jake so I'm bummed...

do tell, do tell all that you know! :)

Last year I discovered there are these people who analyze ABC's sneak peek footage and they enlarged the videos and had figured out Jason proposed to Melissa because of freckles on her hand (of course it turned out to be a twisted ending which could always happen this time too)-- This year they knew Wes would make it to the top 4 based on the sneak peeks (they must have crazy time on their hands). Anyway, SPOILER ALERT AHEAD:

After last week's episode with Ed I couldn't bear to wait two weeks to find out who she picks so in my searching it sounds like she picks Ed (yeah!) and it has leaked that they have already signed Kipton on to do the next Bachelor. I'm not sure if he's even seriously looking for a wife so that choice doesn't make sense to me. I really was rooting for Jake (along with half of America I'm sure). Makes him more available for your friend though. ;) Oh, and there's also some rumor that Ed was dating someone back home which I hope isn't true--It just doesn't make sense. In a recent interview I read where Jillian said that “she’s happy, but she was happy before too” so I don’t know what that means... Hopefully they haven’t already broken up. :(

Sorry for the novel length response. I'm just so happy to have found someone who shares my guilty pleasure. LOL.

Beautiful cards ! i am so admirative of your work ! thanks for those videos ! i am learning many things with you ! thank you very much !!

I love your work Jennifer! Thank you for all your videos. I have a question: how did you get the MS large butterfly punch in the middle of the paper without having to punch the little butterflies? Do you have a trick to share? Please!
Thanks again.
Judy - [email protected]

that punch streches just fine - it actually punches upside down.
