Random Friday :)
Hey, there.
Thought I would share a card set that I made for one of Colin's teachers a few months ago. I may have shared this one before - sorry - but I wanted to show off the use of Sizzix embossing folders.
If you are addicted to embossing on cards and such, you must try Sizzix folders out. Get this: they cover the whole front of a card. Genius, huh? Yes, no trimming needed. And they work in the Cuttlebug just like the other embossing folders. I will share my favorites below.
People often ask how I give the cards to people. I put matching envelopes that are stamped, along wth postage, in a clear box with some fancy ribbon. Easy. You can get the clear boxes at the wonderful Papertrey Ink HERE.
Supplies: Hero Arts stamps (flowers and greetings); Memento Ink; Copic Markers; Glitter Pen; Sizzix, Quickutz and Cuttlebug embossing folders; Hero Arts notecards
You can see all the Sizzix folders I like HERE. My favorite sets? THIS and THIS and THIS.
If you want to see these folders in action some more, click HERE.
And more HERE...
Next...
About the Silhouette - Someone (very nicely) emailed me asking if I really liked my Silhouette that much or if it was a paid endorsement. Nothing on my blog is paid - I don't do sponsorships, etc. If you see me promoting a product, you can be sure it is because I love it. And the Silhouette is on the top of my list of loves. :)
One last thing...
Calling all cardmakers! Basic Grey has new 6x6 paper pads in essential sets. PERFECT for cards. Let's just say - I bought a *few.* :) This is something I will use for a long time. Check them out HERE.
OK... time to try and catch up and buy a flight for a weekend away with a dear friend. Night!
Wow Jennifer, I have this stemp set for ages and haven't used it yet... untill i saw these cards. They are just gorgeous. Thanks for sharing. Love all your ideas.

P.S. The link to the BG paper didn't work for me (no results message on 2peas), but I still was able to find them - manilla and kraft packs both look great! 6x6 is my fav size!

Very attractive cards -- what a different look to each, by just changing the color of the flower! Love the embossing backgrounds, too -- sets the card off with just the right touch. Perfectly elegant, Jennifer - thanks for sharing.
