Challenge Day 5 + giveaway
Happy Friday. (Boy... that is music to my ears.)
It is Day 5 of my fun challenge with Joy. Today? Today we both used the fabulous Hero Arts Dogwood stamp.
After stamping the kraft card with Hero Hues White Chalk Ink and the dots background, I stamped the dogwood with black ink. I then heavily colored the image with colored pencils. (I put the coloring on so thick that you can't see the kraft background through it.) And after a bit of blending with a blending pencil, I had this...
Supplies: Hero Arts dogwood, dots and greeting; Hero Arts kraft notecard; Hero Hues White Chalk Ink; Colored pencils; Blending pencil; Antique Linen Distress Stickles
Forgot to mention - I added Antique Linen Distress Stickles to the center of the flowers. When it dries, it looks like tiny flakes of fools gold. Love.
Many people ask - THESE are the kraft notecards I love. They have matching envelopes...
And THIS is the fab stamp we used...
Be sure to check out Joy's take on this stamp HERE. She is amazingly talented.
Oh - and I picked/emailed two random giveaway winners of this Tim Holtz die: Cher (who left a comment on my post) and Kelly Massman who left a comment on Joy's)...
(And a big thanks to Simon Says Stamps for donating these prizes!)
More tomorrow!
This is such a beautiful site to see, I adore how you have coloured this stamp, gorgeous, gorgeous, gorgeous Jen, love it girl! Hugs!

nice to know that i don't have to invest in Copics to do sophisticated blending. i'll have to get out my colored pencils and practice.

That is a lovely card Jennifer. I had a chance to pick up that stamp, but I didn't have enough money on me at the time.. now I'm wondering if I should have picked it up and not gotten the other two Hero Arts stamps that had been high on my wish list.... my problem, like everyone else's, is that I like way too much stuff, and not enough money for it all!! LOL

Ah, I have been on the bike for the last week (Blue Ridge Parkway, Nashville, home to see Mom, and back to Upstate NY) sans Internet and while I have seen a lot of the US on the back of the Harley I have missed the week of Joy and Jennifer. Now that I am home and in front of the computer, I am enjoying the challenge, seeing how you two have played with the same stamp and came up with completely different looks! OH MY some amazing artwork here! THANKS SO MUCH for sharing!
