Just playing...
I love going to stamping retreats with friends since I always seem to get a bit of time to just play.
On my last retreat, I made a few random cards, including these guys using the Tim Holtz Grungefly. (Awesome name.) This stamp is fab since it can work many different styles. And to top it off? Rock Candy Distress Stickles to make it glisten...
And look closely at the Rock Candy on there. It goes on wet, but dries away leaving just a crystal/sugar/broken glass look. Awesome on any color as it is clear...
Used some small dictionary pages as a background. They always seem to work on any card. Just don't use pages from a medical dictionary. Trust me - I know this from experience. :)
Oh, and here is that Tim Holtz stamp. So lovely...
Here is the Rock Candy Distress Stickles. I just sqeeze a glob and spread it around.
That's all for today... have a good one...

Oh my, I've been on some serious stamp fast for way too many months! (due to life... good stuff). :) Love these grungeflies! I so miss all the inspiration; will have to sit down and create one of these days, AND check out the Thinking Inking, of course! Too funny about the medical dictionary -- I have one, and I definitely wouldn't want to use it on a card! haha! Blessings to you!

Love your comment about not using a medical
dictionary. I had a good laugh over that trying
to imagine what might be printed on the page.
Love your card today and I love Stickles, too!!

Very pretty! Love the bright colors! I don't know--I'm a librarian so I would have a hard time tearing out the pages even of a worn out book! I'd just have to do it really quickly and make the card immediately and see how cute it was, and I think I'd get over it! :-)

Medical dictionary not recommended. I'll keep that in mind! The grungefly is wonderful, but what does one expect from Tim?

I have made my own version of this card but changed the position of the butterflies to cover a couple of words I didn't want to be seen. I also used some punched butterflies I had then stamped over them and sprayed them with glimmermist. Thanks for the inspiration!
