Just playing...

I love going to stamping retreats with friends since I always seem to get a bit of time to just play.

On my last retreat, I made a few random cards, including these guys using the Tim Holtz Grungefly. (Awesome name.) This stamp is fab since it can work many different styles. And to top it off? Rock Candy Distress Stickles to make it glisten...

And look closely at the Rock Candy on there. It goes on wet, but dries away leaving just a crystal/sugar/broken glass look. Awesome on any color as it is clear...

Used some small dictionary pages as a background. They always seem to work on any card. Just don't use pages from a medical dictionary. Trust me - I know this from experience. :)

Oh, and here is that Tim Holtz stamp. So lovely...

Here is the Rock Candy Distress Stickles. I just sqeeze a glob and spread it around.

That's all for today... have a good one...

The cards are great. That is a wonderful stamp.

Oh my, I've been on some serious stamp fast for way too many months! (due to life... good stuff). :) Love these grungeflies! I so miss all the inspiration; will have to sit down and create one of these days, AND check out the Thinking Inking, of course! Too funny about the medical dictionary -- I have one, and I definitely wouldn't want to use it on a card! haha! Blessings to you!

Hi Jennifer! I love the beautiful colors you chose for the butterflies! Hope you are well! :)

Love the colors of the butterflies! And the Stickles, will be picking them up :o)

Love the cards ... cool stamp! And of course one of my favorite things ... Stickles :)

Love your comment about not using a medical
dictionary. I had a good laugh over that trying
to imagine what might be printed on the page.
Love your card today and I love Stickles, too!!

i think those little dictionary pages are an AMAZING idea!!!! life changer, right there. : D

Marvelous!!!! I have just bought some Rock Candy too, how cool. Glad you still find time to just have a play :o)

Wow, your card is gorgeous! Another must-have item. Will this ever end? LOL!

Gorgeous cards! I can only imagine what the medical dictionary pages said. Hee! ;)

beautiful card. I'm a sucker for butterflies and those are perfect paired with the text background

Love these! I hadn't seen that stamp before; thanks for sharing!

Hmmmm a dictionary page! GREAT idea!

Very pretty! Love the bright colors! I don't know--I'm a librarian so I would have a hard time tearing out the pages even of a worn out book! I'd just have to do it really quickly and make the card immediately and see how cute it was, and I think I'd get over it! :-)

Stunning card! I love the tips.

Oh I do love that stamp-adding to have to get list.

awesome Jennifer. Love the pretty colours and how the rock candy distress looks on them

beautiful colors! think i have a bottle of rock candy somewhere. have to go and dig it out NOW!!! =) thanks for the inspiration!

What a great idea to use a dictionary page! And I need to get another bottle of Rock Candy - mine's almost empty!!

Beautiful! I would love to see a video of you doing these butterflies, particularly the way you colored the butterflies. Great inspiration.

Why not bats? We need to see more stamps with interesting bats...perfect for the season...

So pretty!

SO pretty! Love the shimmery butterflies on the text paper!

Love that card! Brilliant idea to use the dictionary page as a frame for those fabulous butterflies!

Medical dictionary not recommended. I'll keep that in mind! The grungefly is wonderful, but what does one expect from Tim?

another beautiful card. i like new ideas. will get a few cards for the kids made this weekend.

Wow Jennifer, what beautiful butterflies! Thanks for sharing about the distress stickles.

I love your cards! The grungeflies are anything but grungy with the colors and sparkle that you added...lol!

I love the card and that butterfly stamp is awesome. I am glad you are home safe and had a good time at Disney World.

Gorgeous design Jenifer - love the fresh colors on your butterflies!

I love those Butterflies so very pretty !!! Will have put this stamp on my Christmas wish list....

I have made my own version of this card but changed the position of the butterflies to cover a couple of words I didn't want to be seen. I also used some punched butterflies I had then stamped over them and sprayed them with glimmermist. Thanks for the inspiration!
